Chaos Flames are valuable resources needed to level up Kratos' Blade of Chaos in God of War Ragnarok. Here's where you can find them.

God of War Ragnarok is an action-adventure title with light RPG elements. As you progress through the game, you will face enemies of higher levels, and if you're not prepared, you may have a hard time clearing certain obstacles. 

As such, it's essential to upgrade your weapons and armor at every crossroad of the game. To upgrade Kratos' Blade of Chaos, you will need a special resource called Chaos Flame. Below we have compiled the locations of all the Chaos Flames in God of War Ragnarok.

All Chaos Flames locations in God of War Ragnarok

You can acquire Chaos Flames in God of War Ragnarok by completing certain story quests, favors, and defeating bosses in God of War Ragnarok. 

  • Chaos Flame 1 location: Acquired after defeating Dreki in Svartlefheim during the main quest, 'The Quest For Tyr.'
  • Chaos Flame 2 location: Acquired after defeating the Forest Ancient in Vanaheim during the main quest, 'The Reckoning.'
  • Chaos Flame 3 location: Acquired after defeating the Frost Phantom in Midgard during the main quest, 'The World of Fate.'
  • Chaos Flame 4 location: Acquired after defeating the pair of Dreki's in Vanaheim during the main quest, 'Creatures of Prophecy.'
  • Chaos Flame 5 location: Acquired after defeating the Soul Eater in Muspelheim during the main quest, 'The Summoning.'
  • Chaos Flame 6 location: Complete the Favor 'Born From Fire.'
